tale of a star

I have not played much with colorised and cut out images, many of them are quite gaudy to me, but for some reason I thought this might work, the color is only the star, the rest is black and white.

Details are fantastic as usual, don't tell anyone I said this, but I think what you did with photoshop adds punch to the shot, but not quite over the bleachers.

Nice shot. Well captured and well exposed. It's amazing that the star is the only colour in the image. I haven't noticed that until I read your description. Creativity and execution wise, it's very well done. I don't really have much else to add.

Sharp as a tack, nicely composed and exposed. Only criticism I have to offer is that at the end of the day I just don't feel that drawn in or interested by this. (I find that a problem with a lot of color cut out images, your eye jumps to the color, and the rest of the black and white gets kind of lost).

Had you not mentioned that this was a color cut-out, I probably wouldn't have guessed. I think that is what makes this one work, while others seem overdone to me. It's subtle, and well executed. The red of the star is in keeping with the tone of the rest of the picture, making it stand out but not say "Hey! Lookatme!" :)

Well composed, well focused. I love the way you've placed the tail of the plane in the frame.

And I love the title.
