When I was in high school, I came really close to buying a hearse as my first car.

When I was a software developer working on enterprise software, I often used Misery Loves Co. as the test case company name.

On a vaguely related note, have you seen the carthedral?

A moments consideration: one knows the hearse has never been in an accident, or raced around by some pimple faced kid, has been well maintained. Those are very desirable attributes for a used car. Add this: undeniable comfort, impressive load carrying/towing capacity and a certain macabre style. Oh, and since so many have the expected dreadful reaction the price is usually laughable. Begin to appreciate the attraction?
Actually, for a commercial vehicle, an open, "flower car" style hearse is more desirable; unfortunately, this vehicle is currently not in style and so rare - pity.
There used to be a place in Nyak, NY that had used hearses for sale.
