DIY 35mm Film Retriever
If you are like me doing double exposure by using different cameras on the same roll, you may need to use a film retriever when the tongue is accidentally pulled inside the canister. You can take the roll to a friendly lab or buy a piece of metal clip to do the job, but it is so much easier and cheaper to DIY. I tried another tedious method to create claws from a used film strip to do the job but success rate was low. So a few weeks ago I found a much more efficient way. What you need is a used film strip, masking tape and cutter. Check out my DIY 35mm Film Retriever Flickr set to learn with step by step instruction.
