Looking Good In Green

A C1 "Bristoller" freight locomotive, the first class of freight locos to serve on Finnish railroads. Despite the nickname acquired from C2-series, these 10 locos were actually built by Neilson & Co in Glasgow in 1869. They put in a goodly stretch of service, all the way to 1929.

The Face Of A Monster

A front view of a Tr2 "Truman", the largest locomotive that has ever been used in Finland. This behemoth was built at American Locomotive Company in Schenectady. The Trumans had a short life in Finland, they were used from 1947 to 1969. Finnish Railway Museum, Hyvinkaa, Finland.
