These are rock oysters as opposed to Bluff Oysters (deep sea) and Pacific Oysters which are more common and larger. . . these grow on the reef out the front of the bach. Generally people aren't on to them so there are plenty

These kind of look like Olympia Oysters (a small coin size oyster from Puget Sound in the U.S. Pacific Northwest -- where I'm from).

Never been a huge fan of the big Pacifics, but I love the smaller, tastier, Olys.
