Parasols at the beach

Parasols at the beach

We've recently come home from a two week long holiday to Alanya. We had a good time and spent lots of time relaxing at the beach.

I just loved how the parasols looked against the blue sky. It felt so summery and cheerful :)

Vintage camera love

Vintage camera love

I got two vintage cameras from my dad, he'd found them in his basement and they come from my grandfather. I absolutely love them and I'm going to try them out some time. One is a polaroid which does work but the film is so horrendously expensive, around $40 for 8 polaroid shots...

Summer and wild strawberries

Summer and wild strawberries

Yesterday I picked some wild strawberries at my parents in law's place and brought them home to take some shots.

I made the camera settings and then I made Martin take shots of my hands (I didn't want any man hands in the shot!). I bribed him by saying that he could eat the berries afterwards :)

It's always difficult when you can't take the photos yourself and thus control the outcome, but I guess it's a good thing to trust someone else with getting the shot right :)

Summer shoes in the sand

Summer shoes in the sand

I shot this last week while I visited a friend in her family's cottage. We relaxed on a blanket on the beach and that's when I snapped this shot of her shoes.

I just love how sand looks in photos, it gives me such a great feeling of summer :)

Pannacotta with raspberries

Pannacotta with raspberries

I've been away from Flickr for quite a long time, mostly I think due to a bit of performance anxiety and a need that everything must be perfect. Also, I really dislike that they removed the button for easily making a link to a blog etc., that made it more complicated to write the kind of description I wanted.

Anyway, as I had to renew my flickr pro-account I thought about how I should do and decided that I don't want to lose the flickr experience. So I've decided that I should put less pressure on myself and try to just post whatever I feel like, even though it might not be perfect.

I shot this photo in May when my husband and I visited my mom and her husband. She had made fake pannacotta from vanilla yoghurt and it was really delicious. We ate it in their green house (which is more of a gazebo) and it was very cozy and nice.
