Living in Northern Vilas county in Northern Wisconsin there are over 200 lakes and ponds within 10 miles of our home. Many of them don’t even have names. This is a small 25 acre lake or pond that I fish often throughout the year. In the late Autumn the Larches or Tamaracks are the only pine tree that loses its needles every year. They change to a golden brown before the needles fall off. I spent over 2 hours fishing and canoeing while taking these pictures of the golden shorelines that surround the lake. My wife Marshia took these pictures of me while I was canoeing in my Golden World.
