Vey very nice pic - 42 second exposure! With that long of an exposure, anything you had to do post processing? I guess I have a quesiton on the moon moving that much in a long exposure. I will have to try that when I get back to the Sierra's! What time of evening was it taken at?

@Sierra Summits - almost no post processing here: some USM and contrast. Otherwise, it is as-is (no filters either).. If you look closely, you'd notice a small upward moon creep. That's because of it rising so rapidly. I contemplated to clone it a bit in PS to make it more round but ultimately decided to keep this way since it is barely noticeable. I really don't like to modify any photo elements aside from applying basic post-processing techniques. Call me a purist if you want :). This was taken at ~9:30pm. I need to fix my camera's clock!!!

Wonderful. I agree, I think leaving the moon alone was a good choice, as you really cannot see the creep unless looking for it. Keep up the good work. Interesting at 9:30 how the mountains still picked up some light - again, very nice.
