The Lies Papers Tell

"Early polls give Obama the edge" -- but not necessarily the WIN!
"The vote for change"
"It's President Obama" -- headline of the 3am edition. The story itself is older.
The Lies Papers Tell by mjs.
The English papers couldn't be certain that Obama had won when they went to press, which led to some very contorted front-page stories, given that for some reason the stories are written as if your only source of information is the newspaper itself. (The Guardian's headline is that of the 3am edition, by which time the outcome was known. The story itself appears unchanged though.) I don't know why the papers try to pretend you don't have other sources of news. It's 2008, damn it. They could even direct you to their own websites...

It's also curious that all three broadsheets used exactly the same Obama photo.
