Molly Wood's DJ Flyer

OK, so here's the explanation for my friends not in the know. First, a small lesson on technology. A podcast is kind of like a talk-radio show run by someone who is a cross between a ham radio operator and a computer geek. So somebody who is either entertaining or knows a lot about a particular subject (preferrably both), records themself (and others) talking about that subject on some regular basis. The podcaster then makes those audio files available on the internet for listeners to download and enjoy. In my opinion, the easiest way to download each podcast file is to subscribe to the "show" through iTunes so that each new episode automagically appears on my computer (and in my iPod) each time it is available. OK, so that's the "amateur" version of podcasting.

There's also a professional version where people actually get paid to podcast as part of their job. Molly Wood is a technology journalist/ senior editor at a highly respected website called cnet.com. (So highly respected, in fact, that CBS just bought them.) Molly's job is to keep abreast of everything that's happening in the tech world and then relay that news to the general public through a variety of mediums. The main way that I get my news from cnet is through podcasts. There's a daily podcast called "Buzz Out Loud" where Molly and a couple of other people explain the news. Molly also does a mostly for fun gadget podcast from a woman's perspective once a week called "Gadgettes. "

On a recent episode of Gadgettes, Molly went off on a little rant about DJ's and how much she hates the glossy flyers they use to advertise themselves. As a joke, I created this DJ flyer for Molly suspecting that instead of hating the DJ flyers, she's really just jealous that she's never had one.
