Garter snake

Did you have a garter snake as a pet when you were a kid? We had one in my second grade class. His name, as I recall, was Sammy - thunderously original, I know. Anyway, I had no idea they got this thick. I found this one in the greenhouse, in the radish bed. He had been feeding on slugs before beating a quick retreat underneath that huge chard plant he's hanging out under. I tried to catch him just after taking this picture, and he panicked and yakked up about 6 slugs. Cool!
