How many stars are in that flag?

This is a vaudeville theater from the 1920s. In the 1950s it was converted to a movie house. The Gaslight theater troupe in Lockhart is busy turning it back into a full-fledged theater and doing their best keep its original character. While I was taking photos of the marquee, a fellow came out and invited me inside to see their work in progress. They took me to see some of the original graffiti as well as point out some of the older features of the auditorium. They have a lot to do before their grand opening gala on Feb 2nd and their first play ("The Last of the Red Hot Lovers" Feb 14 - March 8). Let's hope they make it!

Actually, I didn't catch it. The guy who was pointing out things to me mentioned that they had a flag painted pre-Alaska and Hawaii's statehood before he even showed this to me.
