Looks like the very cool (great views of the Thames) house on Lonsdale Road, SW13 which I believe might be owned by a shouty popstar with (occasionally) green pointy hair....

Yes, Meg is correct: Lonsdale Rd, Barnes.

Although I have no idea what pop star has occasional green pointy hair. Didn't know the house was owned by anyone famous, just that the cow has been there for a while out on the balcony. I mean, where else would you keep your salt cow?

The "Salt Beef" Cow Parade cow used to be in Smiths restaurant, before being auctioned off.

They are all over the place now. Outside some fancy flats in Hulme, Manchester, they almost have a herd gathering.

Bloody Swiss, we've got such bad taste. At least we're also responsible for the Tate Modern.

MM, can you tell us just why is the Milka cow lilac? And was Sir Giles Gilbert Scott really a cheese-eating neutrality monkey?

"I believe might be owned by a shouty popstar” – sorry to dispel any myths but the house is owned by me – a boring accountant! The cow was bought in the London Cow Parade auction and was original sponsored by Smiths restaurant in London. Now a regular landmark in Barnes and often snapped by tourists on the towpath…true name is Salt Beef but our nickname is Pepper..

@Saltbeef: how cool! Thanks for clearing up the misinformation. Now I just have to hunt down the 18 people in Barnes who told me the wrong thing...
