Discovery Banners

Discovery Banners by thePLOWblog.
Here is a sample of banners for a Discovery Fair, a fair to sign up for volunteer opportunities. I wanted each one to have their own personality, but still keep to the brand.

Definitely works as separate images, yet as part of a whole system. Good use of iconic imagery

Nicely typeset overall, but I would touch up the kerning between A and T in "operations"...just in case you have some anal designers walking around ;)

Like this. Works well I think for what you are trying to do. I don't like how the finger is over the letter "i" in impressions. Maybe move the hand over or put the letters on top???

Not a big fan of the hand for FIRS IMPRESSIONS...maybe a name tag, hello my name is sort of thing?

I think it could us a bit of color within the template...but that's probably defendant on their brand.

I'm with HCC on the hand. I think there are other images that would work better.

I'd agree that the colors of the background are a little bland. But still, really nice.

Funny. I thought the hand was a great choice to represent first impressions. It's definitely a "hi" gesture. Color might be nice, but those images pop great on the gray.

i think it works great. adding to much color i think will take away from the signage you're trying to create. like muntz said, the images really pop with the gray BG which leads my eye right over to headlines. easily read. simple design. mission accomplished?

themishmash is right! Gray works as it helps content stand out. Good job!

Thanks for all the input guys. The kerning needs work for sure, good catch. The gray is going to stay, it matched their brand, and I really wanted to have the photo pop out. I will look into other images for the hand, see if they work. Again thanks for spending the time to comment.
