I have a friend

I have a friend by thePLOWblog.
New series about how to deal with friends going through hard issues. It will be 3 parts, and wanted to do a graphic for each.

i like the theme.. the look... the bubble, the blacked out eyes...
i just don't think that the "has doubt..." "cult" or "struggles" part works
it may be the font
everything else is clean, and lined
maybe the tags should follow suit, just not as weighty

Good concept. Unclear hierarchy.

I get the speak bubbles, but it appears that the sermon is speaking about the series and it should be the other way around ("is in a cult" is saying "I have a friend who"), where the series has the emphasis and the specific sermon isn't given enough weight. If your intent is to bring attention to the series and not the individual sermon, then don't stack the two. Add the fact that there's a person in the design that isn't doing the talking: it's just awkward.

You have the elements, you just have to put them in the right hierarchy and context.
