If I could work out the cleanest way to
remove the printing from minifig heads, I'd
be happy to post you a de-scarred Harry head.
I have a few spares. :-)
"If I could work out the cleanest way to
remove the printing from minifig heads"
A very, very, sharp scalpel and a lot of
patience seems to work. Just gently scrape it
over the bit to be removed. It leaves alittle
bit of roughness, but given the general
quality of most of my Lego it doesn't really
seem to be an issue :-)
Another way to remove the scar: basic
granulated sugar. It can be used as a mild
abrasive that'll remove the printing but
won't mar the shiny surface. I've used this
trick on my mobile phone to remove the
company logo.
Love it. It's amazing how much the lego
characters actually look like who they're
supposed to be, Harry Potter scar aside. If
you can't remove that from the actual lego
guy, by the way, you could always do it after
the fact in photoshop using the clone tool.

Poor John.. he's got a scar.
Excellent idea, and well done.

why is paul out of focus?
minifig (87 months ago | reply)
I imagine that it's through reasons of cheap equipment, although I guess that I could claim it's to give it the feel of the original...
kosmar.ipernity.com (87 months ago | reply)
i believe in the second explanation
minifig (87 months ago | reply)
Thanks Kosmar, I'll stick with that one then...
saipanrick (87 months ago | reply)
could it be that paul is out of focus because hes DEAD??? ;-)
minifig (87 months ago | reply)
Now that's the solution.
