Minga was approached by Phil Belair to be a guest instructor for two MIAD Senior Seminar sections. After some deliberation, Minga brought an awesome and exciting project to the table; customizing vinyl characters. With one phone call to MODA3 in downtown Milwaukee, MODA3 supplied us with about 28 blank characters to customize at will! Minga guided them through the conceptualizing stages as well as how to get there mind away from it being a character in some cases so that artists with a more ambiguous, abstract style could apply there style with ease. All in all, it seemed that the sections each enjoyed being pushed and appreciated the level of quality and craft that Minga expected. John Matson is the adjunct professor for the class; working with him is always delightful as he's very knowledge and tries to bring a well informed yet non-bias curriculum and critique to his students. Here are some of those projects and i hope to upload more as those students get photos ready.
