Know that although in the eternal scheme of things you are small,
you are also unique and irreplaceable,
as are all your fellow humans
everywhere in the world.

Our Daily Challenge: Myth and Legend
the geek behind the curtain: all shots and textures originally taken and developed by myself.
more shots of my excellent friend and co-worker, Paul Carter, who modeled for me a couple weeks ago by walking across a street several times while i took photos from the 3rd floor of a parking garage.
a new city was built for this last night -- consisting of one single building and 20 shots of it with different lighting (all lit by flashlight, but different angles, etc). this building was made from a single sheet of folded plain white paper. i drew on windows, and in some cases cut out the windows, too. i placed it on a black-wood, highly reflective coffee table. in the end, however, i had to create the glowing reflection you see here since as i added buildings to the city the reflections ended up going different directions and depths.
there is a layer of thickly applied paint on wood added for texture, as well as a layer of scratches on a green door. the saturation of each layer was taken down individually -- 50% in the case of Paul's 2 layers, and as much as 90% in the case of other layers.
