2012-13 Northwood Florida vs Northwood Michigan

WEST PALM BEACH, FL November 4, 2012

The Third Annual President’s Cup between sister schools Northwood University Seahawks from West Palm Beach, FL and Northwood University Timberwolves from Midland, Michigan tipped off Sunday night at the Countess de Hoernle Student Life Center. This was the Northwood Seahawks season opener and they entered the contest as the nation’s #1 ranked NAIA Division II program. The Seahawks walked away with an 83-75 decision. Ty Davis paced the Seahawks with 20 points and 11 assists (both game highs).

The Seahawks captured their 2nd President’s Cup, rebounding from a 70-69 defeat in last year’s contest at the Midland, Michigan campus. Home court advantage has prevailed every year thus far with the Seahawks winning the inaugural contest, 75-69 in 2010 in West Palm Beach.

The Seahawks next game is against Trinity on Saturday November 10th at 7:00 PM at the Countess de Hoernle Student Life Center.
