Jake's Limo, by J. Strickland

Jake's Limo, by J. Strickland by MillerWelds.com.
This project is a trike. It is made to look like a 1930 limo. and It is meant to be used to take my Great dane, Jake with me on rides around the state of Florida. The limo is a three position vehicle and has a stereo and closed in rear compartment with a bench type seat and trunk. There are two doors into the rear compartment and a center console for a stereo and the fill station for gas.

Customize Description
The trike is accomplished by tying a Honda GL1000 front end and part of its frame to the suspension of a 1974 Volkswagen. Numerous modifications and frame fabrications have to be finished to accomplish the tie in. The VW was cut in half and the rear clip was used but extended 16 inches in the front. The front was then closed in and two doors installed opening on either side of the bike frame and driver’s seat. The motorcycle frame is skinned in with 18 gauge cold rolled steel and finished smooth. A lower fairing has been fabricated and installed with a full windshield modified to work in conjunction with the lower fairing. Custom seat pan and seat had to be made to fit the frame and not interfere with the doors and also allow access to the battery compartment under the seat. An aluminum gas tank was made and installed under the rear seat with the fill neck available thru a door inside the rear compartment. The rear of the VW was cut down to a Baja configuration and fiber glass fenders bobbed and installed with a berglass "duck tail" also installed and glassed in on the rear of the VW. The rear bumper is accomplished using a Baja rear frame with trailer hitch. No I didn’t not make the rear Baja motor guard/bumper. The entire trike had to be wired and painted here at my house and due to a lot of luck it looks pretty decent..
