Double Stacks thru the River Valley

Double Stacks thru the River Valley

The tail end of this monster double stack train from Canada is still coming through the outskirts of Hoffman as the head end passes over the big trestle east of town. The snow-less landscape really is gloomy this winter, but these containers brightened up the valley today.

Soo Line Across the Soo Trestle

Soo Line Across the Soo Trestle

A short wayfreight out of Glenwood heads west across the old Hoffman trestle. This bridge still has a very faded Soo Line word-mark right in the center.

Stacks Sweeping out of Barrett

Stacks Sweeping out of Barrett

With a pair of GEVOs up front and one shoving on the rear, this monster stack train from British Columbia sweeps around the big curve east of Barrett. They will cool down a bit at Hoffman waiting for the wayfreight to depart Glenwood.
