Another slightly macabre, creepy shot here. This time of Portchester Castle itself and the Keep poking through the mist.
I had walked around the whole castle looking for a good angle, and settled eventually for this vantage point, with the imposing Keep framed by trees on either side, the moat just below it, and in the foreground just a small section of the wooden fence that surrounds the castle here. I tried to wait for a moment when there was noone else about but was so cold I was not able to really wait long enough to get it. Therefore if you look carefully you can see people walking along centre-right.
I like the mystery and old aged look to this photo....
Shot taken using a Canon EOS 3, with EF 24mm f/1.4L II USM lens and Kodak BW400CN film. Processed in Lightroom and Photoshop using the Silver Efex Pro plugin.
