Goleta Pier Study

Goleta Pier Study

More Santa Barbara long exposures. Long exposure compositions don't get much more classical than this, but I still think it turned out well.

Campus Point Rock Study

Campus Point Rock Study

I just returned from my annual visit to Santa Barbara. I recently bought a 10-stop ND filter for just this kind of thing. Whereas last year I had to take these kinds of pictures in fading light with increasing ISO settings, this year I could do it at low ISO during the day. It makes a big difference!

Compared to last year's attempt at a similar long exposure style, I think my technical skills have improved. However, it would have been really nice to find last year's rocks again (I wasn't in sync with the tide this year I guess).

Blodgett Canyon

Blodgett Canyon

A long hike today in Blodgett Canyon. I didn't get the shots that I came all this way to take, but I at least got this one that I'm happy with.
