After all the dilly dallying with the horses, the ditches, the interesting clay tile area, and stopping to get some shots on the approach to the dunes we finally got to the dunes around 10:00 AM. The sun was too high for the oblique lighting and the clouds were building up making the whole area kind of uniformly lit. It was grey overcast light but we were still in a state of bliss. This was gorgeous and we were in love with it immediately.
Marie and I stayed within sight of each other but explored semi-independently. We usually talk about this or that, but we were both nearly wordless, just enjoying the awesome sights of this awesome site.
