"Autumn Leaves" by Michael G.O'Callaghan
I carried my Mamiya RZ 67 Pro II medium format camera loaded with Velvia transparency film in it as I drove around SW Michigan for several Autumns looking for just that right image of colorful fall leaves on the ground. In ~1999, as we were driving in Kalamazoo, Michigan going to my sister's home for dinner one Sunday I spied these leaves in a yard not too far from their home. I dropped off my wife and kids, picked up my sister (another photo enthusiast) and we composed this image. I have a large Ilfochrome print of this image on the wall of my office and I love it!
