This is a somewhat manipulated version of my Great Egret photo posted at flickr.com/photos/mikebaird/501821581/ - Great Egret (Ardea alba), Morro Strand State Beach, Morro Bay, CA 16may2007 - Canon 20D 100-400mm IS handheld - photo by Mike Baird bairdphotos.com - this "manipulation" was attempted because the horizon was not perfectly level in the original, and straightening the image would have clipped a bit of the top wing of the Great Egret... by comparing each image you can see where I have cloned pieces of the sky, water, and tips of the top wing and tips of the feet to complete the composition. Nice bit of digital cloning; the only thing I find a bit amiss is that the added right wingtip doesn't have the primary tips bent up the same as the left wing does (which it ought to, with the air pressure during the wing downbeat).
