Sensational shot - I watched some of these
guys training at the mouth of the Columbia
River many years ago, but I didn't have a
vantage point anything like yours here.

Great catch!! I recognize the dunes in the
bg.
I see you live in MB. My grandparents
retired there from farm in the mid 60's and
my family has been visiting regularly since.
I'm from Bakersfield originally, now in
Arkansas, so my visits are sadly not as often
as I'd like!

I gotta be a sour grape here. The photos are
well done, very dramatic. The problem is
that you just don't conduct an
"excercise" this close to the beach
especially in bad light. You get enough
training in the real world in the Coast Guard
without all the drama. Thats just too
dangerous. Again. Great shots, well
photographed, just not a sensible use of
personnel or equipment.

great capture! I was in the Coast Guard
stationed at a small boat station in North
Carolina and we had 2 of these bad boys, i
miss them!
