mike-baird-knee-11-6-07_18-weeks-after-6-20-07-surgery by mikebaird.
Progress on my knee on 11-6-07, 18 weeks after the 6-20-07 knee replacement surgery. I still have inflammation and significant pain and discomfort, requiring treatment (ice, Ibuprofen, Tramadol...) and limiting my mobility to not-too-strenuous activities. History at www.flickr.com/photos/mikebaird/sets/72157600439835236/

Smith-Nephew's new Deuce replacement knee www.smith-nephew.com/ JOURNEY* DEUCE* Bi-Compartmental Knee System - The innovative JOURNEY* DEUCE* Bi-Compartmental Knee System is a revolutionary concept where the medial tibiofemoral compartment and patellofemoral compartment are replaced with a single femoral component. The JOURNEY DEUCE System is the first and only knee system to successfully retain ACL and PCL function, allowing more normal kinematics and proprioception throughout the range of motion. The JOURNEY DEUCE Bi-Compartmental Knee System accommodates deep flexion, enables normal tibiofemoral axial rotation and provides patellar tracking throughout the entire range of flexion while retaining the healthy lateral tibiofemoral compartment.

Betolandia Thanks for the reply! I'm glad you had success. My part was a brand new type and perhaps I paid a price to be the first. RadarpyRadarpy, Thanks, and Good luck with your Journey Deuce - I'm 5 months past my 6/20/07 operation but still need Vicodin or Tramadol for the pain and never got rid of all the inflammation - history at knee.bairdphotos.com - you will see contact info there for another patient Chris who had hers done in April 2007 - she got a lot of press you can easily find. I'm sure they have the procedure down better now. You might not want to be the first live patient your surgeon works on after cadaver training. Mike [at} mikebaird d o t com
Let me know how it works out.
