scott herring atop tom danaher's grummond goose. the two pilots had flown the plane from texas to lima, peru. they gave me a heart attack when they entered peru airspace from a direction we hadn't expected them, and were "politely detained" while we cleared up the misunderstanding and made apologies. later i got a head ache from trying (to no avail) to buy, beg or steal oil for the goose. finnally had to fly rick garside down from los angeles bringing the oil with him. he also brought me some california wine to help smooth the road with peruvain customs who had impounded our camera package.
the goose is an amazing plane, and scotty and dan are pretty incredible guys. my son is named after scott.
