Strobist info: Natural light from window left. Umbrellaed flash (580exii) camera right (only slightly as fill) . I like this one, because of the shadow difference on the left and right side of her face - It slims nicely. She uses this particular image for her facebook icon - She feels it sends an "I'm listening" vibe. I do to.

Sisters
Simple light... Not really. Just one umbrella, but here's the thing: Wanted a picture of them both with the older sister in the background (and out of focus) - sending a kind of "new generation up front" kind of message. That was easy at f2.8 (have a couple in focus as well - but I prefer this version), but I also wanted shadow and contrast on their faces. Problem was, placement of one umbrella becomes important, - Too far left and the front face started creating a shadow on the rear sisters face. I couldn't shoot head on - boring. So I had to fiddle with the umbrella a lot to get it just right (Up and to camera left just doesn't seem to do it justice. Camera on manual. Flash on TTL + 2/3s). Turned out nice and they were happy. Learning experience....

Trine 3
Just adding some info. Trine is a young politician running for parliament in the next danish election. She runs for the social democrats and wanted some pictures she could use for her campaign. The images needed to convey different messages. We took some more standard campaign shots. We did some shots that worked for health care, crime issues etc. This image Trine has chosen to use when discussing issues focused on younger voters - as it's more relaxed and accessible.
