In 1960 there were 49 movie theaters in Helsinki. In 2006 there are only 8 left.
The exhibition Kinostalgia is a nostalgic tribute to the old cinemas - the Holga-photographs are taken in fall 2006 in four of the oldest remaining movie theaters of Helsinki: Bio Rex, Orion, Maxim and Forum.
Displayed in a solo exhibition at Galleria Lasipalatsi, Helsinki in September 2006.

This photo is from Forum, built in 1926. The theater was run down in the summer 2006, and is awaiting for future use - probably as a restaurant.
