Annette the Ballerina, 1950s

Excerpt from "Walt Disney's Magazine" 1958, Vol. 3, No. 4

"Her sense of rhythm first became apparent at Carpenter Grade School in the San Fernando Valley, where the principal suggested Annette take up drums. From drumming she went to dancing. Her dancing teacher was Al Gilbert, whose specialty is teaching very young children. Walt Disney first saw Annette in a special performance of Swan Lake in Burbank's Starlight Bowl."
