Life '09

So here it is, iLife '09. The main reason I bought this was because of the new features in iPhoto and the video tutorials in GarageBand.

Flickr integration was a big positive for me because I love Flickr. I was also interested in the new Faces and Places feature. Faces is super smart; once I identified a face, iPhoto was able to fly through all my photos and pick out the photos with that person in them (and then I could go through and confirm what it got right). I haven't used Places much because I don't have a camera that logs geographical information but I won't argue that the Places feature would probably be pretty useful and neat.

With the video tutorials in GarageBand, my hopes of learning how to play the guitar have been revived!

Make way for the elephant

I got this at a flea market quite a few years back. It was the first local flea market I had ever been to and there wasn't much to my liking. As I was leaving, this elephant carving caught my eye and with a little haggling, I was able to get it for $10.
