Frozen Leaf
From the ice/snow storm we had this winter. I went out walking a few days after the storm had come through and was intrigued by this leaf that had been "frozen" to the street.

Eye See You
This is a cat I used to have a long time ago. I was outside with him one day when he was strolling around the yard, so I took some pictures of him. I really thought this one was cool the way that you can only see one eye and ear on him. He just happened to sit in the right place for me to get this photo. His eye appears to be almost glowing like it's an electric eye. His eyes were a bright yellow so they always seemed to glow in pictures.

Hebron Church Cemetery
I have been on a mission to try and visit all of the grave sites of my ancestors that I can find. This was one such trip. This grave site was just sitting out in the middle of an open field seemingly in the middle of nowhere. Actually it was not far from the main road passing through the small town but with no signs announcing the name of the place I had to wonder at first if it was the right one or not. A couple of people in the area were asked, but no one seemed to have even heard of the name. Fortunately, I was able to find it anyways. I guess it wasn't too hard to find in the end. I just hope I have a mostly easy time with the others too. The site www.findagrave.com has been extremely helpful.

Bookends
My grandfather made these bookends sometime around 1930 when he was in college. He went to the Agricultural and Mechanical College of South Carolina, which is now known simply as Clemson University. I don't know if he made them for a specific class project, or just for the fun of it. I often wonder what kind of metal they are made of.

Wildflower
Was visiting a park and someone noticed this flower that had bloomed low to the ground. It looks both beautiful and lonesome to me all by itself there. After doing a search on the net for what kind of flower it is, I discovered it is called bloodroot. It is named for the red color the sap has in the stem.
