Finding a suitable tree and somewhere on the Military Road to park up was a bit of a fraught exercise. This is by no way the best tree photo I've ever seen or ever likely to take but it's the best I could manage on the day.

EXIF 90 seconds @ f11 | 100 ISO | 10mm | B&W ND110

You know the one, Sycamore Gap, the most photographed tree in the North East, probably the most photographed in the UK. So I thought I'd offer something a bit less ordinary and clag on the ten stopper.

A little more light and colour to the west.
I've decided I've been making some of my landscapes just a tad too warm so I've been dropping the white balance a tad, I think the results are a bit more natural. I've also tweeked the split toning sliders on this one and I rather like the result but would welcome any feedback, good or bad.

Just a little bit of sun shining through a gap in the clouds and spreading some warm colour across the sky. It may have been cold up on Steel Rigg but it was crisp and fresh and a joy to be out there.
