Dirge
Hand colored gumoil prints, colored pencil and ink on paper.
When I first moved to CA 10 years ago, I came home one afternoon to find lots of crows sitting in the tree in front of my apartment, crying loudly, circling the tree and diving to the ground. When I got closer I found one dead crow lying on the ground. The other crows were crying for him, diving to the ground where he lay. They repeated their mourning song and actions for the rest of the afternoon.
