A huge 2-day maritime event is held at the harbour in my hometown every year. Tall-ships, sails, jetski races... I didn't go to the afternoon programs but I really didn't want to miss the fireworks closing this festival.

After spending the whole Saturday afternoon at a HP family event, I came home, did some quick research on the best camera settings for shooting fireworks, took my tripod with me and off I went.... I'm quite pleased with the results of my first fireworks shoot,
though using long shutterspeed really takes a whole lot of patience :-)

Taken with daylight white balance to preserve actual colors, 100 ISO speed for no noise, F8, 2sec exposure, and focus set to infinity. Adjusted levels and curves.
