Took this out of my 7" record box today A 22 year old Whitney Houston. Drugs and bad relationship choices appear to have taken her life early.

I always wanted to take photographs of this monument. I seen it from a bus when I was around eight and was fascinated by it. The soldiers are manning a Lewis Gun.

Spanish Civil War Memorial off Clyde Street, Glasgow on the walkway beside the River Clyde. Custom House Quay is in the background. The civil war started in 1936 and ended in 1939. General Franco won the civil war and remained the dictator of Spain until he died in 1975. Around 30,000 volunteers from abroad fought against Franco's army. This memorial is to commemorate the volunteers from Glasgow who fought as the International Brigades. "Better to die on your feet than live for ever on your knees."
