Puccho Soft Candy
On top is Syuwa Puccho Soda soft candy and below is Puru Puccho Grape. What impressed me the most with these package designs was how the soft candy was turned into a character. The soda candy uses a cartoony face while the grape face is much more abstract and thus slightly creepy. But what's nice is that both small packs of candy (which was like a soft gum) show a nice sense of humor. I also loved that the side panel (shown below) had these meticulous little diagrams showing you the benefits of the flavor. Both tasted quite sweet, although the soda had a very subtle flavor while the grape had a bit more power (but not too much like western candy).

Your Fortune: You're Eating Way Too Much Take Out!My favorite part of Chinese take out is getting the fortune cookie. Sadly I have a habit of acquiring these in my workspace in the hopes of finding some inspiration. This is of course like playing the lotto — sooner or later you'll luck out and get that lucky fortune. However while cleaning up my studio today I found a deeper meaning in my vast treasure trove: Despite my fondness for Bean Curd, Home Style with brown rice I really need to broaden my efforts to improve my diet.

Chocolate Cookie: Meiji Takenoko No Sato Cheesecake
These cookies were covered in white chocolate and had a wonderful vanilla flavor to them.

CNN Fails Again
This screenshot was take about 15 minutes after I first started reading about the latest demonstrations in Iran. By the time I went to take the screenshot of the BBC website the story was already old and demoted to the 2nd tier. However CNN hadn't even picked up the story yet on their website or breaking news Twitter account.
