I just returned back from a short trip to the Grand Canyon to try to catch some monsoon season skies. Overall, it was a great trip. A buddy from friends of az highways and I drove to North Rim on Friday and came back on Sunday. We put over 750 miles on his vehicle.
It was a 7 1/2 hour drive to this remote spot on the North Rim. A short scramble down the side of a cliff led us to this overlook, we guessed it was a bout a 700 ft drop straight down from here. There was actually quite abit of wildflowers in bloom at the canyon, but the winds were whipping at near 60 mph gusts. Certainly, not the very best light of the trip, but one of my favorites nonetheless.
