    Hi there,
I am currently writing an online article about the lives of Geisha women, the traditions and harsh lives that they follow. I want to educate and inspire what these women were about, and the lives they had to live.
Please will you grant me with permission to feature this image in my article? Image credits will be provided alongside with a direct link to your work.
    Thank you,
    Emma

Do you write articles for free ? How do you eat for free ? Giving people credit for their own work is the lowest legal level possible.
I am always surprised at journalists asking to photographers to give away their work for free, like if all the efforts, skills, and time taken has no value. More than any people, you know that good work has a cost and a value, and the threat that "free work for credit" is to quality work itself.
Please do not ask what you would not accept for yourself as a professional that needs to feed a family.

PS and I am not even talking about the proper respect due to the Maiko and her image.

Beautiful depth of field, she stands so crisp against a softly fuzzy background, almost like she's just floating.
