Moon halo
Seen 2 days ago just a little outside of Arcadia. We were shooting pictures at the old gas station out there, when i suddenly saw a halo forming around the moon. It was pretty stable, it was visible for at least half an hour.
For those who don't know what a halo is, wikipedia has the answer:
A halo is an optical phenomenon that appears near or around the Sun or Moon. There are many types of optical halos, but they are mostly caused by ice crystals in cold cirrus clouds located high (5–10 km, or 3–6 miles) in the upper troposphere. The particular shape and orientation of the crystals is responsible for the type of halo observed. Light is reflected and refracted by the ice crystals and may split up into colors because of dispersion, similarly to the rainbow.
Sometimes in very cold weather optical halos are formed by crystals close to ground level, called diamond dust. The crystals behave like jewels, refracting and reflecting sunlight between their faces, sending shafts of light in particular directions.

Evil Eye
I can feel it! The house is watching me!
I think Sauron is living here. See it big, maybe you can find him!
Full moon, red gelled strobe through the torn down ceiling inside the house.
This is my last picture of this series. Next week i am not able to post anything, since i am going on to a road trip to Nevada, Arizona and of course California for a few days. I expect lots of photo opportunities :)

Ghost of the house
Some holes in the wall between the bed room and the bath room are forming a face, creepingly staring at you.
You have to see that big!
Full moon shining through the window at the wall, red gelled strobe in the other room.

Humbly Yours
Your host of this show, trying to give you the creepiest look possible!
See me big!
Nope, not photoshopped. Seriously. Just my poor self, standing inside the kitchen of that roadside beauty, shining a flashlight (in my right hand, "invisibly" holding it underneath the window frame) into my face, trying not to freak out because of all the weird noises inside the house and the Ninja Cows outside. Full moon, natural LED flashlight, 2 minute exposure.

Stalkers
While i was shooting the abandoned House in the middle of nowhere, i heard some noises behind me. When i pointed my flashlight in that direction, i saw 20 pairs of glowing eyes staring at me from about 30 yards away. It freaked me out for a split second, but then it made me laugh so hard: A herd of cows was watching every move i made.
Those things were Ninja-Cows anyway. They would sneak up behind you without you even noticing: One moment you are shooting photos, and the next second there is a cow standing next to you and you have no idea where it came from!
