I was walking around with my daughter, the kiosk fridge magnet, london eye fridge magnet, bus pencil case, sundry postcards, the policeman's helmet/pencil sharpener and bell, plaster model of a lifeguards soldier, teddy bear dressed in lifeguards uniform, doll dressed in LU, looking for things to match up with. I asked two policemen at Trafalgar Square if I could do the photo with them under the PHPSAB and they looked at me strangely and said no. So we went down to the houses of parliament and I stole this shot because I couldnt be bothered to explain again. On the right iin the background you can see a policeman looking at me strangely. I did not "see" the shadow as I took the picture, but of course that really makes it...

I love your comments where you explain that you are walking around with all these souvenirs in your pocket looking for things to match them against.

Do you think this has spawned a number of copycat collections?

best of the set, fantastic work.

Thanks Ray. This is one of my favourites too - it's just so weird! Time Out New York just interviewed me and want to angle it that I give people tips on how to copy "Souvenirs". Fortunately it's not as easy as it looks!

'Fortunately it's not as easy as it looks! '

is that because its so hard to carry all the stuff around, lol,

would you buy something intentionally because you know you are going to *that* place in the future?

michael_hughes  Pro User  says:

No, the rules are;
1) go to the place you think will be Souvenir-rich
2) visit the local Souvenir shop
3) buy the most unusual/appropriate
4) do it

and anyway what are assistants for? ; )
