potsdamerplatz_1990001deSpring 1990 Berlin Potsdamer Platz looking towards Pariser Platz. The Wall still partially exists, which you can see on the left of the photograph. A rudimentary metalled road has been laid over the wilderness which had existed during the years of the cold war. An East German Trabi scurries by and I hold a picture of the spot taken about seventy years ago in the twenties. This is the prototype of Souvenirs.

The VW concern, owners of the Bugatti name call Torelli when they want to assess whether a vintage Bugatti which they are interested in acquiring has been badly restored or not. He knows every nut and bolt on the cars. He has gone so far to produce new Bugatti engines from the original plans to fit into cars which have no engines. He is driving a 4 cylinder Le Mans Ferrari 250 from 1962 on the open and appreciative roads around his home town.
