Dressing a Super Hero

Dressing a Super Hero

My Super hero wouldn’t get a new costume by sewing something together – instead he would need something over the top – dramatic – and I had this thought of him being dipped in a vat of intense, powerful, almost glowing liquid.

As he rises from the liquid it forms to his body and creates an impenetrable and iconic look.

Thoughts of Spring

Thoughts of Spring

I don’t do ethereal very well. I certainly appreciate it when someone can create wispy floating memories but my work usually tends to saturated, sharp, focused images. That’s why I’m very happy this went more towards the light misty side.

I’m looking forward to spring!

My Pit Crew - Teleidoscope 08 Multiply

My Pit Crew - Teleidoscope 08 Multiply

I’d like to introduce you to my babies, my cats. They are my pit crew – my backup dancers – the wind beneath my wings.

They stand on my keyboard and personally inspect every picture to make sure it meets their high standards. : )

From the left we have Bermuda Moses – he’s the jock of the group. If he was a guy, women would swoon at his every word.

In the middle we have Noah. He’s 16 years old and he’s discovered the secrets of meditation! His nick name is Yoda and I’m pretty sure he has magical powers.

On the right we have Halo Harvest – She’s young, beautiful, and bosses the boys around – and that is the way it should be : )

-----------------

This is for the Teleidoscope 08 Multiply. There was no way in the world we were going to have 4 cats. No Way! However - they multiply somehow. Anyone who has cats understands. It's like a law of the universe

Power / Velocity - matt

Power / Velocity - matt

I was working with Matt on focusing the shot on just one part of the body.
What I discovered is most of the body doesn’t have enough perspective to make a tight crop work. We did come up with this shot, though. I really like the look of power and velocity that comes across in his chest and back.

Candy Cane Flowers

Candy Cane Flowers

I saw this very neat flower and the colors and shapes of the pods reminded me of candy canes.

I edited the picture to bring out the rich colors and highlight the shapes of the flowers. I think I’ll do 2 more in this series – showing the tiny buds first growing – and then the full flower.

I also wanted to let everyone know all my pictures are Creative Commons NonCommercial. That means you can use them on your personal blogs, screen savers, etc. If you use them on the web then please link back to my blog on mtphoto.us

Linking back really helps me on search engines helps more people find my art work.

Hope you are having a wonderful weekend!
