Emerald Bay is home to the only island in Lake Tahoe, Fannette Island.

According to Google Emerald Bay shares its name with a hotel in Sri Lanka and a tan accelerator. Two things you will probably not need at this place.

This difficult do reach beach is 3 hours south of San Francisco, 6 hours north of Los Angeles and a world away from both.
