Lunch

Blanche du Chambly, a white beer from Quebec brewery Unibroue.

Unibroue, incidentally, is about the only Canadian beer I've found consistently outside of Canada.
Garlic & Herb mashed potatoes, skins left on naturally.

Topped with lots of black pepper.
Mediterranean olive mix
Roast beef sandwich with shaved parmesan, mixed greens, tomatos, onion, and a bit of mayo & dijon. All served on toasted multigrain.
Lunch by mezzoblue.
On a cold winter's day, there is of course a right way and a wrong way to have lunch. This would be the right way.

Composed mostly of leftovers, but it sure did work out nicely.

Mmm... Blanche du Chambly is delicious stuff. I've tried once in Quebec City, and wished I could find it locally ever since :(

Actually Dan, I generally can't find it here either. Unibroue had a special promo sampler case, so I jumped on it. Usually we just get the popular ones; Fin du Monde, Maudite, and Trois Pistoles. That's about it.

By my count, this meal hits all of the major food groups, with beer replacing dairy, of course. :-)

Sorry to be the spelling police here but it's "Blanche de Chambly" ;)

So you've got snow and you're drinking Unibroue beer? You're only missing the poutine and you've just changed coasts.

Nice to know the Blanche is also available in the US. Haven't had one in a while - the Cheval Blanc is cheaper at the corner store ;-)

you can search the BCL's database for product and find availability and location! amazing. apparently at this very moment there are 437 6 packs in stock throughout BC, 237 in Vancouver alone at 19 locations.

Personal preference would be, a pint of Guinness, black pudding, bacon, walls sausages, bacon grill, egg, fried toast.

This all seems a tad, girly.

I found some Blanche de Chambly in Belgium this summer, can you believe this? If this beer is sold in the country where beer is literally une raison d'être, you can imagine its taste!

But Unibroue makes a much, much better beer: La Fin du Monde. And, yes, it is the end of the world!
