Republic Windows & Doors Sit-In

Workers at Republic Windows & Doors were staging a sit-in following an abrupt announcement of the company's closure and the termination of all employees with no notice, severance or benefits. That action is illegal under the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act.

As of Wednesday evening, the action is over. Their tactics paid off with a $1.75 million settlement that covers eight weeks of owed pay, vacation compensation and extended health coverage.
