It's sad, isn't it? This small dairy farm setup, once gone, will be gone forever. This part of our past will never resurface. I want to try and take photos of things like this as much as possible.
I found this guy wandering around near the foundation of my house. It was cold that night and so he was sluggish which makes for better photos. I grabbed him, put him in a shoe box, and whipped out two desk lamps and my macro lens.
Agriculture has changed a great deal since this barn was erected, am I right? It's safe to assume that by the time I die the vast majority of these agricultural relics will be no more. I'd like to do what I can to take as many photos of standing barns as possible. I feel that I would be doing a disservice if I didn't. This one was in operation as recently as the late 80's.
We hung out for maybe half an hour, exchanging few words. I told her repeatedly that she was beautiful. I have never met a deer this fearless. I don't doubt someone feeds her in their backyard to create this level of human tolerance.
