Two questions:

1. I once had OmniOutliner (before doing a clean sweep of my hard drive when Tiger came along). It came with... something. .Mac? Do you know off-hand what the Omni programs were packaged with? I can't find it on any CDs lying about.

2. Why oh why did you ever let QS take the bezel interface away from you?! I couldn't live without that plug-in.

@ presta:

1. It was preloaded on a lot of Pro macs.
2. Yeah, I refuse to switch away.

You can’t move QS in the bezel setting AFAIK; this guy goes wherever I like — in my preference that’s near the upper left hand corner of the screen, where I can interact without obstructing my central view.

Options are good™.

joker: You mean it came with my Powerbook, but didn't come with the Tiger reinstall (much like iLife)? Just clarifying. If this is so, poop. No KGTD for me.

merlin: In this instance, I've chosen the superior aesthetics and continuity with the rest of OSX over your hoopty-doopty "movability." Besides, bevel is translucent! I see your point, though, good sir.

presta: Superior aesthetics? I've always considered the QS bezel interface to be incredibly ugly. IMHO the transparency seems forced at best (different shades of transparent grey to indicate the active field?), lots of icons don't work well on the grey background, and the subject and action don't have any clear relationship to each other.

I have always liked the Menu interface, though Flashlight is nice too.

Holy crap.

I just realized that the KGTD scripts are in the Scripts folder, and you can run them in Quicksilver. No more switching from keyboard to mouse!

This thing just went from "interesting diversion" to "really useful" in one fell swoop.
